📘 BOOK–1 : “The Forest of Shadows”

Part – 1 (English Version)

The night in Ravenbrook was unusually silent. Even the wind seemed afraid to move between the trees.
Liora, a bright-eyed village girl known for her gentle voice and innocent smile, was returning home from her aunt’s house. The moonlight touched her like silver, making her presence almost magical.

But darkness had already chosen her.

Three notorious troublemakers—Drex, Vavor, and Kellen—had been watching her for days. They stepped out from behind the trees, their shadows long and twisted in the moonlight. Liora stopped instantly, her breath frozen.

Before she could scream, Drex covered her mouth, and the others forced her deeper into the forest.

The trees became thicker. The silence deeper.
Liora’s heart pounded so loudly that she thought the whole forest might hear it. She knew their intention was evil—something too dark to imagine.

But fate had another plan.

Deep inside the forest lived a creature—half human, half mythical—known only in legends as “The Forest Guardian.”
Some called him a man-beast.
Some whispered that he was a fallen warrior cursed to protect the weak.
No one had ever seen him and lived to tell the story clearly.

The moment Liora’s terrified cries echoed through the woods, the Guardian’s glowing golden eyes opened.

Drex and Vavor dragged Liora toward an abandoned stone altar in the middle of the forest. Kellen whispered, trembling:

“Did you hear that? Something’s moving…”

Before Drex could answer, a massive shadow leaped from the treetops.
A roar shook the entire forest.

The creature stood between Liora and the criminals—tall, powerful, with fur like midnight smoke and eyes that burned like fire.
The men tried to run, but the forest closed in on them—branches twisting, roots rising, the air itself turning cold and metallic.

Liora fainted from fear.

Moments later, another figure arrived—a human this time.
A young warrior named Ardin, known for his bravery and quiet nature.

He had tracked Liora after hearing her distant cry.

When he reached her, she was shaking, barely conscious.
He wrapped his cloak around her trembling body and whispered:

“You’re safe now… I swear by Allah, nothing will harm you again.”

But behind them, the forest howled—
not from violence,
but from judgment.

The Guardian had already disappeared, leaving behind only the chilling presence of something ancient, powerful, and angry.

Back in the village, when people heard the news—

Some cried uncontrollably.
Some screamed.
Two elderly men collapsed from shock and grief… one died instantly from a heart attack.

Fear spread like fire.

Everyone whispered the same question:

“If the Guardian saved her…
then what happened to the monsters who took her?”

And no one had the courage to enter the forest to find out.

Part – 2 (English Version)

The entire village of Ravenbrook could not sleep that night.
People whispered, cried, prayed, and stared at the dark line of trees where Liora was found.

Inside Ardin’s home, Liora lay unconscious on a soft blanket. The village healer tried everything—herbs, warm cloth, prayers—but her body remained cold as if the forest still held her in its grip.

Ardin sat beside her, fists clenched.

He kept seeing the last moment in the forest—
that enormous shadow, those burning eyes.
And the way the forest itself moved like a living creature.

Suddenly Liora’s fingers trembled.

Her eyes opened wide, filled with fear.
She grabbed Ardin’s hand and whispered with a trembling voice:

“Ardin… it wasn’t just the men… Something else was there… watching me… speaking in a language I didn’t understand.”

Ardin felt a chill crawl up his spine.

Before he could ask more, the village bell rang loudly—
GONG! GONG! GONG!

A messenger ran through the streets screaming:

“Someone found… bodies! In the forest!”

People rushed toward the forest entrance.
Ardin told Liora to stay inside, but she begged:

“Please… don’t leave me alone. I’m scared.”

He gave her a comforting look.
“You’re safe. I promise.”
Then he joined the villagers.

At the forest’s edge lay two of the kidnappers—Vavor and Kellen.

But something was wrong… terribly wrong.

Their bodies looked untouched—no wounds, no blood—
yet their eyes were wide open in terror, frozen forever.
Their faces showed such horror that no one could even describe it.

One villager collapsed after seeing them.
Another fainted.
Someone muttered:

“They died… from fear itself.”

Ardin felt something watching them from the trees.

He slowly looked up.
Two glowing golden eyes stared back.

The villagers screamed and ran.

But Ardin did not move.
He felt no hatred from those eyes… only warning.

Later that night, the village council gathered.
People argued, cried, shook with fear.

“Burn the forest!” one shouted.
“No! The guardian will kill us all!” another warned.

“Why did it save the girl?”
“What does it want?”
“Will it come to the village next?”

Fear spread like poison.

Then, the elder of the village, old Master Harven, stood up and said:

“The Guardian does not harm the innocent. It punishes evil.
But if we disturb it—if we enter its forest—its wrath will not spare anyone.”

Everyone fell silent.

Outside, the wind blew strangely—
whispering like voices.
The forest rustled though no one touched it.

And in Ardin’s small home, Liora woke up again.

But she didn’t scream.
She didn’t cry.

She whispered one sentence with trembling lips:

“Ardin… the Guardian spoke to me.”

Ardin’s heart stopped for a moment.
“What… what did it say?”

Liora’s eyes filled with tears.

“It said…
‘Your fate is not over.
Darkness will come again.
And only one man can stop it.’”

The candle near her flickered out by itself.

Ardin felt the weight of destiny falling upon him.

The real horror had only begun.

📘 BOOK–3 : “The Forest of Shadows”

Part – 3 (English Version)

For the next two days, Ravenbrook lived in unbearable tension.
No one walked near the forest.
Shops closed early.
Children were kept indoors.
Even the animals avoided the edge of the woods, sensing something unnatural lingering in the air.

Inside Ardin’s small cottage, Liora slowly recovered.
But something in her eyes had changed—
a constant fear, as if she could still hear the whispers of the forest inside her mind.

Ardin sat beside her every night.
He didn’t sleep.
He couldn’t.

On the third night, as the moon rose high, the village elder, Master Harven, knocked on Ardin’s door.

“Open up, boy. We need to talk.”

Ardin opened the door.
Harven looked pale, shaking.

“They found Drex.”

Ardin froze.

Drex—the last of the criminals.
The one who had held Liora’s mouth shut.
The leader.

“Where?” Ardin asked.

Harven swallowed hard.
“Inside the forest. But… you must come and see.”

Though Liora begged Ardin not to go, he had no choice.
With torches in hand, Ardin, Harven, and a few brave villagers entered the forest.

The deeper they went, the colder the air became.
No birds.
No insects.
The silence felt heavy, like a living thing watching them.

Finally, they reached a clearing.

And there was Drex.

He was alive—
but barely.

He knelt on the ground, eyes blank, mouth open, trembling violently as if trapped inside a nightmare.
He kept whispering the same words over and over:

“It saw me… it followed me… it showed me my death… again… and again…”

Harven whispered in fear,
“What did the Guardian do to him?”

Ardin approached Drex carefully.
“Drex… look at me. What did you see?”

Drex slowly raised his head.
Tears streamed down his face.

“It didn’t kill me… it punished me.
It showed me every evil thing I ever did.
Made me feel the pain of every person I hurt…
a thousand times…”

He screamed suddenly—a scream so horrible that even the trees seemed to shiver.

Then Drex collapsed.

Dead.

Not from injury.
Not from blood.
But from pure terror.

One villager fainted.
Another began shaking uncontrollably.

Ardin felt his chest tighten.
Something wasn’t right—something bigger was coming.

Suddenly, the torches blew out.

Darkness swallowed the forest.

A low rumbling echoed around them—
not from the ground,
not from the sky,
but from the trees themselves.

Glowing symbols appeared on the trunks, swirling like ancient writing.
The forest was alive, awake, aware.

Then, from the shadows, a voice whispered—
deep, ancient, powerful:

“The darkness you fear…
is not me.”

Ardin’s heart stopped.

The Guardian stepped forward—
taller than before, eyes dimmed with sorrow instead of rage.

“But a greater evil approaches,”
it growled softly.
“One that is not mine.”

The air turned icy.

Ardin forced himself to speak.
“What evil? Tell me!”

The Guardian leaned closer.

“Liora has been marked.
Her fate is tied to the coming darkness.
And you—Ardin—
you were chosen to protect her.”

Ardin’s hands trembled.

The Guardian’s eyes burned brighter.

“If you fail…
the village will fall.
The forest will fall.
And she… will not survive.”

The creature disappeared into smoke.

The villagers panicked.
Some ran back toward the village blindly, crying.
One man collapsed and died instantly—his heart unable to bear the terror.

Ardin stood there, numb.
A destiny he never asked for had been forced upon him.

When he returned home, Liora was sitting up, tears falling silently.

She whispered:

“Ardin…
it’s coming for me, isn’t it?”

Ardin took her trembling hands and whispered:

“I will not let anything touch you.
Even if I have to fight the darkness itself.”

The wind outside roared—
as if something had heard his promise.

And it was coming.

📘 BOOK–4 : “The Forest of Shadows”

FINAL PART (English Version)

The night the darkness arrived, Ravenbrook fell silent.
No dogs barked.
No birds cried.
Even the wind stopped moving—
as if the world itself was holding its breath.

Inside Ardin’s home, Liora slept restlessly, murmuring words in a strange voice, as if someone was whispering through her dreams.

Ardin sat beside her, gripping his sword—
though he knew steel meant nothing against a supernatural enemy.
Still, he would fight.
Even if it meant dying.

Suddenly the entire cottage shook.

A heavy thud… thud… thud… approached the village.

The ground trembled.

From outside came terrified screams—
then silence.

Ardin stood, breath trembling.
He opened the door a crack…

The village was drowned in darkness.
Not night—
but a black fog that swallowed houses, trees, and even the moon itself.

Then he heard it.
A distant growl.
Low.
Ancient.
Hungry.

It wasn’t the Guardian.

It was something far worse.

As Ardin stepped outside, a tall silhouette emerged from the smoke—
twisted, horned, breathing like a dying beast.

Its voice sounded like thousands of whispers together:

“She belongs… to the forest’s debt.”

Ardin stepped in front of his door.

“You will not touch Liora.”

The creature laughed—
a sound that shook the sky.

“You were chosen to try, little human…
but you cannot stop fate.”

Suddenly, the black fog rushed toward the house.

Ardin raised his sword.

A hopeless act.

But just before the fog swallowed him—
the earth cracked open.

A roar thundered across the village.

The Guardian emerged from the forest, taller than ever, eyes blazing like suns.

The fog recoiled.

The evil entity hissed:

“You cannot protect her forever.”

The Guardian answered:

“I do not protect her alone.”

At that moment, Liora stepped outside—
her face pale, but her eyes glowing softly, as if something ancient had awakened within her soul.

She whispered:

“Ardin… stay behind me.”

Ardin froze.
“What are you doing!?”

But the Guardian bowed to her—
as if she held some unseen power.

The dark entity growled:

“The mark has awakened.”

Liora raised her trembling hands.
A soft white light formed—weak at first, then brighter, stronger.

The darkness clawed at her, but the Guardian stood between them, shielding her.

Liora cried out:

“Ardin! Say it—
the words the Guardian taught you!”

Ardin didn’t understand—
until the Guardian’s voice echoed inside his mind:

“Light answers the voice of courage.”

Ardin shouted with all his strength:

“Liora, you are not alone!
You are protected by truth, by purity, by every innocent soul who ever suffered!”

The light burst from Liora like a storm.

The darkness screamed.
The entire village shook.
Several villagers hiding in their homes fainted from fear—
two of them died instantly, unable to bear the shock.

The Guardian roared and charged, slamming into the dark creature.
The collision lit up the sky.

The black fog shattered like glass.

The evil entity let out one final cry—

—and dissolved into nothingness.

Silence.

The forest lights dimmed.
The sky cleared.

Liora collapsed.

Ardin rushed to catch her.

“Liora! No—stay with me!”

Her eyes slowly opened.
A weak smile.

“It’s over… Ardin…
You saved me.”

Ardin shook his head, tears falling.

“No… you saved us.”

Behind them, the Guardian stood silently—
then slowly bowed its head in respect.

Its final words echoed through the air:

“Light has chosen its protectors.
The forest is safe again.”

Then it vanished into the trees.
Forever.

Ardin held Liora tightly—
the village slowly coming back to life around them,
people crying, praying, mourning, and thanking them.

The nightmare was over.

But the story of their courage
would live in Ravenbrook for generations.
