The Cursed Forest – Part 1
In the ancient kingdom of Zafraan, King Rafiq was known for his justice and wisdom. But what the people did not know was that a shadow was rising far away inside the forbidden forest of Jinnara — a place where even sunlight feared to enter.
The Princess
The king had a daughter named Barirah, known for her piety, kindness, and unshakable trust in Allah. She often walked to the village to help the orphans and the poor. She was loved by all — but her fate was about to change forever.
The Dark Night
One evening, as Barirah was returning from the orphanage, a terrifying scream echoed from the depth of the dark forest. Her horse froze in fear. The royal guards looked at one another, terrified.
Suddenly, a monstrous figure appeared — a creature part-human, part-beast, covered in thick hair, with glowing yellow eyes. He was known in ancient legends as the Forest Man – “Ghaibaan
The guards fled in terror, leaving the princess alone. Ghaibaan roared so loudly that even the mountains trembled. Barirah recited:
“Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakeel.”
Her voice did not shake — but her fate was sealed. The beast moved closer, and the forest began to close around her like a living cage.
A Hero Unseen
Unknown to all, a young warrior named Ashraaf was watching from the shadows — a traveler, a scholar, and a fearless believer. His sword was sheathed, but his heart was awake. He whispered:
“O Allah, help me protect the innocent.”
And the forest wind carried his words. A storm was about to begin…
The Cursed Forest – Part 2
The night grew darker as the princess Barirah stood alone before the terrifying creature Ghaibaan. The forest had fallen completely silent — even the wind refused to speak.
Trapped in the Forest of Jinnara
The trees around Barirah bent unnaturally, their roots moving like serpents. The ground trembled beneath her feet. She realized this was no ordinary forest — it was cursed, alive, and controlled by unseen forces.
Barirah took a deep breath and recited verses of protection, reminding herself that only Allah could save her. Her calmness enraged Ghaibaan. He slammed his fists against the ground, shaking the tree
The Arrival of Ashraaf
Just when Ghaibaan raised his massive arm to seize the princess, a sharp, thunder-like sound echoed through the forest. A blade of light cut through the darkness. Ashraaf stepped forward — his eyes steady, his faith unwavering.
He shouted:
“Fear only Allah, O creature! You will not touch this innocent woman!”
Ghaibaan growled, recognizing the warrior. “So you have returned, Ashraaf…” His voice was deep, ancient, and filled with rage.
A Hidden Past
Barirah stared at Ashraaf, confused. “You… you know him?” she asked.
Ashraaf didn’t take his eyes off the beast. “I met him once,” he replied quietly. “Long ago, when I was searching for the lost scrolls of Tawheed in this very forest. He was not always a monster…”
Ghaibaan roared, “Silence! The forest is mine. She will not leave alive!”
The Duel Begins
Ashraaf pulled out his sword, which glowed faintly with inscriptions of Qur’anic verses. With a swift motion, he struck the ground, forming a protective circle around Barirah.
“Bismillahillazi la yadurru ma’asmihi shay’un.”
The forest reacted violently. Trees shook, shadows twisted, and unseen whispers filled the air. The first blow of the battle echoed like thunder.
The cursed night had truly begun…
The Cursed Forest – Part 3
Ashraaf and Ghaibaan circled each other like two storms preparing to collide. The cursed forest watched in silence — every tree, every shadow, every whisper felt alive, hungry for the outcome.
The Clash of Light and Darkness
Ashraaf struck first. His sword glowed with sacred inscriptions, slicing through the shadows that covered the beast. Sparks flew as Ghaibaan blocked the attack with his hardened, stone-like arms.
The entire forest shook when Ghaibaan countered with a roar that cracked the branches around them. Barirah shielded her ears as the world trembled
Barirah’s Courage
Even in the middle of the chaos, Barirah refused to stand helplessly. She recited verses of the Qur’an, her voice steady and pure. The air around her shimmered as if the forest itself hesitated to harm her.
“Wa man yatawakkal ‘alallahi fahuwa hasbuhu.”
Her courage strengthened Ashraaf. He glanced back for a moment, seeing her faith, and whispered, “May Allah protect you.” Then he returned to the battle.
The Hidden Truth
During the fierce fighting, Ashraaf shouted, “Ghaibaan! You were once a guardian of this forest. Why surrender to darkness?”
The beast froze for a moment — his yellow eyes flickered with something distant, almost human. His voice trembled as he growled:
“I was betrayed… cursed by those I protected. This forest became my prison.”
Barirah gasped. “So you are not evil… you are trapped!”
Ghaibaan swung wildly to silence her, but Ashraaf blocked the blow. Their clash sent a shockwave that toppled small trees.
The Unseen Enemy
Suddenly, a chilling laughter echoed through the forest — not belonging to Ashraaf, nor Barirah, nor the beast.
From between the twisted trees emerged a hooded figure, his presence darker than the night itself. Shadows moved like snakes around his feet.
The figure spoke softly, “The princess is mine. None of you will leave this forest alive.”
Even Ghaibaan stepped back in fear.
Ashraaf tightened his grip on his sword. “Who are you?”
The hooded man lifted his head, revealing empty, hollow eyes.
“I am Malik-al-Layl… the Master of the Night.”
The true nightmare had just begun.
The Cursed Forest – Part 4
The presence of Malik-al-Layl turned the cursed forest even darker. The air became heavy, the earth felt colder, and the trees bowed as if submitting to their true master. Barirah shivered — not from fear alone, but from the unnatural silence that followed his arrival.
The Master of the Night
Malik-al-Layl’s hollow eyes glowed faintly as he stared at the princess. “Barirah,” he whispered, “your light does not belong here. I will consume it, and this forest shall breathe again.”
Ashraaf stepped in front of her. “You will not lay a finger on her. The forest doesn’t need darkness — it needs justice.”
Ghaibaan growled beside them, but even he trembled under the shadow of the hooded figure. The beast lowered his head, whispering, “He is the one who cursed me… He feeds on fear and despair.
The Forest Turns Against Them
At a wave of Malik-al-Layl’s hand, the forest twisted violently. Branches stretched out like claws, roots rose from the ground like serpents, and shadows moved with embers of red beneath them.
Ashraaf slashed through the roots, protecting Barirah. Ghaibaan stood behind them, swinging his massive arms to break the trees that tried to ensnare them.
But the forest was endless — a living nightmare without escape.
Barirah’s Light
Barirah closed her eyes, lifted her trembling hands, and began reciting verses of the Qur’an. Her voice echoed like pure light in the suffocating darkness.
“Allah is the Protector of those who believe; He brings them out of darkness into light.”
As she recited, rays of soft light spread around her. The trees recoiled, the shadows burned, and Malik-al-Layl hissed with fury.
The Weakening of the Darkness
Ashraaf felt strength return to his limbs. “Your light… it weakens him,” he said.
Ghaibaan looked up, tears shining in his monstrous eyes. “Princess… your faith… is breaking the curse.”
The Master’s Wrath
Malik-al-Layl raised both hands, summoning a tornado of darkness. The sky above split open like a wound. Thunder rumbled, but there was no rain — only shadow.
“Enough!” he roared. “I will destroy all of you!”
The ground beneath them cracked. A gigantic shadow rose from the earth — a beast larger and darker than anything they had ever seen.
Ashraaf tightened his grip on his glowing sword. “Barirah… stay behind us. This is not the end. But the greatest trial begins now.”
The cursed forest roared to life as the monstrous shadow stepped forward…
The Cursed Forest – Part 5 (Final Chapter)
The monstrous shadow towered over them, its glowing red veins crawling like fire through its dark body. The forest trembled as if the earth itself feared the beast. Malik-al-Layl stood behind it, laughing with a voice that scraped the soul.
The Final Battle Begins
Ashraaf stepped forward, gripping his glowing sword tighter. Beside him, the cursed beast Ghaibaan let out a roar that shook the sky — a roar not of anger, but of freedom trying to break free.
Barirah stood behind them, her hands raised in dua, her voice steady even as the forest tried to silence her.
“Our Lord, pour patience upon us and make us stand firm
Light Against Shadow
The shadow-beast struck first. Its massive arm slammed into the ground, sending shockwaves that split the earth. Ashraaf jumped aside, slicing through the shadowy limb. The cut burned with white light.
Ghaibaan tackled the beast with all his strength. The forest echoed with their roars, one of darkness — one of a tortured soul seeking mercy.
Barirah’s Stand
Malik-al-Layl raised his hand to silence Barirah’s prayers. Dark chains shot toward her. But before they could reach, a brilliant aura surrounded her. Her voice grew louder, clearer, stronger.
“And the truth has come, and falsehood has vanished.”
The dark chains burned to ashes before touching her.
The Curse Breaks
As Barirah recited, Ghaibaan screamed — not in pain, but in release. The curse that held him for years cracked like breaking stone. Light erupted from his chest.
He looked at Ashraaf with human eyes for the first time. “End it… while I am still in control.”
Ashraaf nodded with sorrow. With a swift motion, he struck the final blow.
The shadow-beast collapsed. The ground fell silent. And for a moment, the forest breathed again.
Malik-al-Layl’s Last Attack
But Malik-al-Layl screamed in fury. He gathered every remaining shadow in the forest into a single spear of darkness and hurled it toward Barirah.
Ashraaf leapt forward with all his strength.
The darkness struck him instead.
Barirah screamed as Ashraaf fell to the ground, the shadow burning through him.
The Dawn of Light
“Your light dies with him!” Malik-al-Layl shouted.
But Barirah placed her hand on Ashraaf’s chest and whispered the most powerful words she knew.
“Allah is with the patient.”
A brilliant light burst from her palm. It spread through Ashraaf, then rose into the sky like a glowing pillar, shattering every shadow in the forest.
Malik-al-Layl screamed as the light consumed him, his form dissolving like smoke in the wind.
The End of the Curse
The forest turned quiet. The darkness faded. The trees straightened. The curse was gone forever.
Ashraaf slowly opened his eyes. Barirah wept with relief. “You saved me,” she whispered.
Ashraaf smiled faintly. “Allah saved us both.”
A New Beginning
As the sun rose for the first time in decades over the cursed forest, light touched every tree, every stone, every memory. It was not a place of fear anymore.
Ashraaf and Barirah walked out of the forest together — the hero and the princess, the believer and the believer.
Behind them, the cursed forest finally slept in peace.
This is the end of The Cursed Forest — but the beginning of a new destiny.
